Video Games

An illustration for The Friend Magazine about a boy being uncomfortable playing a video game. Perhaps it was Bonestorm.

What My Father Gave Me

"Male Pattern Baldness" might be a personal answer to the title of this story for The Friend Magazine. I believe the actual story is about Baptism and not the unfortunate hereditary "gift". This was a fun illustration and these guys look familiar. I wonder if this kid will lose his hair too. Perhaps he'll take after his mother.

Ancestry.com 1940 Census

I recently had the opportunity to work on an awesome project for Design Farm & Ancestry.com. They put together this really cool census from 1940 featuring a map of the United States. You can click on a state or territory and a pop up reveals some details about that state in 1940. The Design Farm styled the site and gave me the opportunity to illustrate the majority of the states. This was a great project in a really fun style. You can check them all out at ancestry.com, just scroll down a bit. Here are a few samples.

Jogan Janes & Madam Racecar

A little deviation from illustration. This summer has been a good summer for performing in alternative rock bands (if you're me and haven't performed in an alternative rock band in a good while.) My old college band, Jogan Janes, got together in Pleasant Grove in June for a show and my current band, Madam Racecar, recently played in Farmington. These were both fun and hopefully I'll have a chance to play again soon! Meanwhile, my jazz band, The Killjoy Trio, gets to play high brow functions from time to time, so if you're having a wedding, give us a call!

Turn The Volume To Eleven

Another illustration for The Friend Magazine. This one is about a girl who recognizes the voice of the prophet on the car radio.
